URBAN DISASTERS
Urban disasters, of all survival situations, are the most good news/bad news types on the survival curve.
1. Good News in that your house, your office, your car may all play a role in helping you to survive. They can be a base of operations, a rallying location for friends and family members to meet if separated in the early stages of the emergency, a great place to store need hitkits and supplies. Check out my plan.
2. The bad news is that panic, lawlessness and disease can manifest and spread faster in urban areas. The second part of the bad news comes in the form of our own complacency, apathy and denial. We believe in our local police, fire and emergency services to be prepared to aid us in such situations, and most times this will not be the case. If your plan lies outside of your own ability to implement and sustain, you’re not surviving, your hoping for the best. Survival has little to do with hope. It comes down the levelheaded implementation of your preexisting and well practiced plan. For some additional ideas, please click here.
Now, to blend the good with the not so good, this is the perfect recipe for self-reliance.
Don’t forget the B.E.S.T chances for Survival Technique. This Technique, coupled with the two plans above, dramatically increases our chances for survival wherever we find ourselves.
