One Question

picture2
There are no answers on how to survive or techniques to learn to do so. Survival, all survival, comes down to answering just one straight-forward question.

In a world plagued with an ever increasing number of manmade catastrophes and natural disasters, there looms for each of us a moment of decision. In the blink of an eye, you will need to answer just one simple question.

In an emergency situation, when it hits, and it will, who will you be?

Whether an Act of Nature or a Terrorist Act, in that moment when your body urges you to fight or flee, who will you be?

When confronted by a tornado or terrorism, hypothermia or heat-stroke, a hurricane or a home invasion, a bridge collapse or a bomb scare, when it comes to protecting yourself or defending your family, will you panic and perish or will you stand and survive?

The human will to live is as basic and powerful an instinct as you and I possess. When it hits, and it will, will you abandon that instinct or embrace it fully? In that moment of indecision/decision who will you be?

A victim or a survivor?

B.E.S.T. CHANCES FOR SURVIVAL

When you total up all of the natural disasters, tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, violent storms and their aftermath, extremes of heat and cold, it’s enough to give us all pause. Add to these residential and high-rise fires, terrorists attacks, automobile accidents and a host of other man-made emergencies its easy to wonder about our chances for long-term survival. Given the variety of crises that can present themselves in any moment, its good to know that there is one thing you can do, in advance, to mentally prepare yourself for any disaster, to give yourself the BEST chance for survival.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. Emergency First Aid, to be effective, begins long before the actual emergency.

MINDUPS

Nature challenges each of us mentally, physically and spiritually is age-old wisdom. That Adventure and Wilderness Exploration make us smarter, healthier and happier becomes apparent when we remember that the Mind is a muscle like any other in the Human body. Our mental faculties rely on exercise and “progressive adaptation” to build strength and flexibility regardless of our age. The Human brain shares another trait common to every muscle group; the weakening of prolonged atrophy. What strength and stamina we choose not to use, we soon forfeit. “Use it or lose it” is a “total body” ailment.
