Conservation through Exploration
Sadly, in the 11th hour, our everyday efforts of environmentalism, recycling and “going Green” are falling far short. Re-connecting to the ground we sprang from, “Big Bang” or “Big Breath” is our only hope of ultimately surviving.
Conservation through Exploration re-awakens the underlying connection between a people and their planet. It reminds us that what happens “over there” happens “right here” and that in the evolution of humanity, there is no “other.” We and the earth are one and the same. That there truly is Dirt in Your DNA.
Building on the media success of the 2008 Wonder Explore Believe Tour, Brian Brawdy will kick off the 2009 Conservation through Exploration National Tour at the Florida RV SuperShow in January. From there, he launches an 11 month adventure using his Mobile Base Camp to explore some of the most spectacular ecosystems in North America.
From the globally unique Florida Everglades to the pristine Boreal Forest of Canada to the heights of Mt. Rainier to the depths of Death Valley, from wildlife rich Yellowstone to the amazing wonder of the Grand Canyon, from the expanse of the Boundary Waters to the confines of Mammoth Cave, each stop will focus not only on the amazing wilderness at hand but the lessons that the wilderness holds for each of us.
When the Mobile Base Camp can go no further, Brian pushes forward hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, diving, spelunking and climbing to complete each adventure. All cameras, computers and editing devices, not to mention the Lance Camper itself, will be powered the natural energies of the sun and wind.
The 2009 Conservation Through Exploration Tour - a great cause, a great media campaign, a great opportunity to join the team and make a difference.
